Dr. Ranka is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and is known for his discovery of supercontinuum generation in optical fibers.
Kyle Watson - COO
Mr. Watson has led the development of computational imaging systems that provide unprecedented 3D imagery for both ground and airborne lidar systems. He has developed novel architectures for pupil-plane imaging and aperture synthesis, and non-mechanical beam-steering systems for numerous DARPA and Air Force-funded efforts. Mr. Watson had also developed techniques and algorithms for multi-target tracking employing multi-hypothesis, Bayesian Kalman Filtering approaches, and novel adaptive optics/super-resolution vision systems. Mr. Watson has dual Bachelor degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Physics from UCLA.
Dr. Brett Spivey - CTO
Dr. Spivey has over 30 years of experience in optics and communications systems, microwave engineering, digital signal processing, and medical imaging. Dr. Spivey previously served as the CEO of Litel Instruments, and Vice President of ThermoTrex, leading the development and commercialization of advanced imaging systems and instrumentation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Caltech in 1981 and his Doctoral degree in Physics from UC Irvine in 1992. Dr. Spivey holds 27 issued patents in various fields of optics, imaging, X-ray imaging detectors, laser wavefront measurement, and laser sensing.
